I’m David: a former competitive player with 19 years of experience as a tennis coach. I coach children, teenagers and adults – individually, in pairs or in groups of up to four. In summer at FT 09 Starnberg, in winter at Tennishalle Starnberg.

Tennis coaching in Starnberg for every level
On your own, in a pair or in a small group – we train to suit your level and goals. The cards show the coaching fees for 60 minutes. Outdoor or indoor court fees are additional and shared proportionally in groups. Per person, pair coaching costs €33, a group of three €24 and a group of four €19.

Outdoor and indoor court fees
Summer at FT 09 Starnberg: Members pay no additional court fee. Non-members share €10 per court hour. If all four participants are non-members, the group of four therefore costs €19 coaching + €2.50 court fee = €21.50 per person per hour.
Winter at Tennishalle Starnberg: A season ticket for a fixed one-hour indoor slot each week costs €595, €975 or €1,050 depending on the time, for the entire season and the whole court. Court fees are divided by the number of participants; if you join later, your share is agreed individually.

I have never played tennis. Is that a problem?
No. We start at your current level, whether you are a complete beginner, returning after years away or looking to improve your match play. For children, coaching is adapted to their age and playing level.
Is a trial lesson available?
You can enquire about a single introductory lesson without committing to a full season. The normal coaching fee applies, plus outdoor or indoor court fees. We agree on the time and coaching format personally.
How much does a lesson cost?
Coaching fees for 60 minutes are €60 for an individual lesson, €33 per person for pair coaching, €24 per person in a group of three and €19 per person in a group of four. Outdoor or indoor court fees are additional and shared proportionally in groups. Pair coaching example: €66 ÷ 2 = €33 per person, plus your court share. Group of four example: €76 ÷ 4 = €19 per person, plus your court share. We clarify the additional costs before booking.
Do I need to be a club member?
No, you can train without club membership. We clarify any court fees before booking.
Where does coaching take place?
In summer, from May to September, at FT Starnberg, Ottostraße 39, Starnberg. In winter, from October to April, at Tennishalle Starnberg, Gautinger Straße 39, Starnberg. I confirm the coaching location personally.
What happens if it rains?
In winter we train indoors at Tennishalle Starnberg, so the weather does not affect us. In summer we play at FT Starnberg. If the weather is uncertain, I decide whether the lesson can go ahead; please check with me.
How soon can I get a lesson?
For individual and pair tennis lessons (60 minutes), please currently enquire directly with me. For padel coaching (45 minutes), enquire via WhatsApp. For groups, tell me your age, playing level and available times. I personally confirm every enquiry – a lesson only becomes binding once I have agreed.
Do I need to commit to the whole season?
Fixed weekly coaching slots are agreed as a binding commitment for the relevant season: winter from October to April, summer from May to September. If you join later, we agree on the remaining sessions and proportional indoor court fees. You can enquire about individual available calendar sessions without a season-long commitment.
How do I cancel a lesson?
Please cancel in writing at least 24 hours before the start of the lesson via WhatsApp or email . Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full coaching fee.
Do I need my own racket?
Loan rackets are available on site, so you do not need your own racket to get started.
How do I pay?
In cash, by bank transfer or by personal arrangement.
